Christian Girl Book Tag

Hey Gems!!!

Today's post is a companion to my video I posted on YouTube this morning! I decided to start doing some fun tag videos on my channel that deals with books. I'm a major reader and believe that everyone should be reading. I'm going to share some books that will edify you and encourage you in your walk with God.
I came across the Christian Girl Book Tag a while ago on YouTube while browsing for some fun Christian based tags and I definitely was sold on it!
Here are all the questions and my more in-depth answers...
1. Pick a book that inspired you in your walk with God or your faith in Jesus - 1 Corinthians 10:31
✞ Pearl in the Sand by Tessa Afshar Review | Paperback | Kindle | Audible
⋆ I'm going with this book because it's very personal to me and my personal walk with God. I learned so much from this book about myself and my worth. It helped me really learn to go to God unfiltered. It gave me the push I needed to overcome some issues from the past. This will forever be my number one favorite biblical fiction read.

2. Pick a book that shows an ultimate sacrifice for someone else - Hebrews 10:10 & Ephesians 5:2
✞ A Royal Family by Linda Fergerson Review | Paperback | Kindle
⋆  Timon did the ultimate sacrifice towards the end of this book to help his enemies learn more about the Messiah. He literally and willingly gave up his life to save others and show them true love.

3. Pick a book with your favorite love story in it - 1 John 4:8
✞ Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers Review | Paperback | Hardcover | Kindle | Audible
⋆ Michael Hosea and Angel have such a complex romance! I love how real their marriage seems. We go through the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual challenges with them in this book. They are such an amazing couple!

✞ A Light on the Hill by Connilyn Cossette Review | Paperback | Kindle | Audible
⋆ Darek and Moriyah hands down are one of my all time favorite couples. From their meeting and flirting to their marriage and children. I just swoon over them from books one to four.

4. Pick a book with an epic good vs. evil battle - Ephesians 6:12
✞ Mark of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse Review | Paperback | Hardcover | Kindle | Audible
✞ Flight of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse Review | Paperback | Hardcover | Kindle | Audible
✞ Cry of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse Paperback | Kindle | Hardcover
⋆  I'm going with the entire Ravenwood Saga for this answer because this deals with the Dark Lady (demonic forces) vs the Light (God). I love seeing Lady Selene learn more about herself and fighting for good though she was trained and raised to be evil.

5. Pick a book that has prayer and/or Bible reading in it as an essential or major element for the story - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
✞ Isaiah's Daughter by Mesu Andrews Review | Paperback | Kindle
⋆ This book includes most of Isaiah's prayers and prophesies. There prayers thrown throughout this book from Isaiah and Hezekiah.

6. Pick a book that personally challenged you or that has persecution for ones faith in it - Matthew 5:10, Luke 6:22, John 15:18, 2 Timothy 3:12, 1 John 3:13
✞ You Belong With Me by Tari Faris Review | Paperback | Hardcover | Kindle | Audible
⋆ This book challenged my faith because it focused on letting go and understanding that God is in control of everything whether good or bad. It taught me that if I try to grasp control I will end up losing control.

✞ A Royal Family by Linda Fergerson
⋆ This takes place around the time of Saul killing off Jews so this was definitely a book that showed persecution for ones faith.

7. Pick a book where the main character is different from everyone else or stands out, or separates themselves apart for the plot - Romans 12:14, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Colossians 3:12
✞ Mark of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse
⋆ Lady Selene was raised to be evil like the rest of the women in her family, but she always felt out of place. She stood apart from them and even in trying to be good those who knew her family's history didn't care much for her.

✞ Counted with the Stars by Connilyn Cossette Review | Paperback | Kindle | Audible
⋆ Kiya is an Egyptian that befriends a Hebrew girl named Shira. Amongst her people she's not comfortable. She never cared for the gods. When she escapes with the Hebrews she becomes an outsider that struggles to come to the faith.

✞ The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas Review | Paperback | Kindle | Audible
⋆ Marcellus , a Roman soldier and his Greek salve Demetrius were so different from what people would have assumed them to be. Both were not Jews nor knew the ways of the children of God yet they both found themselves drawn to the Messiah in odd ways.

8. Sharing the Gospel. Tell me in the comments below about your faith in Christ. About the books that encouraged you in your walk with the Lord.
✞ A Royal Dance by Linda Fergerson Review | Paperback | Kindle
⋆ This is a book that deals with rape, self-worth, self-love and adultery. This book really puts somethings into perspectives. It gives a bit of "insight" on why the enemy comes after women. This is a powerhouse of a novel.

✞ Harvest of Rubies by Tessa Afshar Review | Paperback | Kindle | Audible
⋆ This book focuses on understanding your worth and that you don't have to perform with God. He loves us eternally and without reservation. There is nothing that we can do, He loves us just because He is love.

✞ The Last Man at the Inn by R. William Bennett Review | Hardcover | Kindle | Audible
⋆ This book focuses on truly living out your faith and not just using it for convenience.

I had so much fun doing this tag! I recommend it YouTubers, Bloggers and Instagramers. If you're reading this I tag you to do it too!

Blessings,
