Good morning Gems!
Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer!
This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs.
The schedule will go as follows:
Thanks once again to all of you who were interested in the Book Club!

Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the
actress from the movie War Room (which I HIGHLY recommend). She wrote a book
for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this
phenomenal book:
“You
have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and
keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his
approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t general or
generic, not a one-size-fits-all. It’s specific. Personalized. Targeted.
So
this book is your chance to strike back. With prayer. With a weapon that really
works. Each chapter will guide you in crafting prayer strategies that hit the
enemy where it hurts, letting him know you’re on to him and that you won’t back
down. Because with every new strategy you build, you’re turning the fiercest
battles of life into precise strikes against him and his handiwork, each one
infused with the power of God’s Spirit.”
Book Club will take place every Monday, so we’ll be reading
this book together for a total of 6 weeks. We’ll read 2 chapters a week. Every
Monday I’ll post about the chapters for the week and open up the discussion in
the comments sections.
I know some of you are into study guides, so I decided to
create a quick guide to go along with the reading and help us dive further into
this book and really get some things out of it.
Now, for those who have not seen the movie War Room or even
to those who have and are obsessed with it like I am I would say let’s all
watch it prior to the start of Book Club. It will help you to understand the
book further.
I am so excited for this first Book Club and can’t wait to
embark on this journey with you all…
