While that’s part of it, worship is the essence of what makes us truly human. God sparked this desire within our hearts from the day He first breathed life into Adam and Eve. Since then, every single human who has walked this planet has participated in this God-given ability, and divine quest. While many have squandered their gift, there are those who find the wonder-filled life of communion with God no matter the time or place.    True freedom comes when worship flows through us as naturally as the air we breathe, when the words and actions in our lives resonate with ou

How I Do My Devotional Time

Hello Gems! Today's post is all about how I do my devotionals in the morning or quiet time with God as some would call it. If you don't know what a devotional is I'll give a brief explanation of it. A devotional I like to start my days with a devotional because it helps me to wake up, think about how I want my day to go and reminds me of God, Christ and their love for me. Some people do one devotional book, but I choose to do three different ones. I have two staples and then one that I pick based off my "Devo schedule" as I've set aside a few devotionals to get through this year. Below is a full walk-through video of how I go about doing my devotionals and taking notes... How I Study in my Journaling Bible {Walkthrough}

Morning Gems! Today I'll be sharing an in-depth walk-through of how I study in my journaling Bible. From how I take my notes, to the different markings and highlights. I decided to do this going through the book of Job on camera since it's a book I never studied and didn't really know much about. Bible journaling is fairly simple you don't need many things to begin all you really need are a pen and a Bible. I like to use a journaling Bible because it has wide margins, one column and enough space to write what I need to. I also think of the Bible as a journal so I just write down my thoughts and questions while still doing some research on locations, names, defining words and etc. Check out the video below to see how I study in my journaling Bible: If you're interested in of the items I used I'll link them below for your buying: Journaling Bible:  http://amzn.to/2FpfW94 Thompson Chain Reference Bible:  http://amzn.to/2CYxvyd Nelson's Cyclopedic

Here's a synopsis of this beauty God says, “Follow me.” But we can think of a million excuses. We’re not smart enough, big enough, trained enough, capable enough—the list goes on and on. But God sees us through the filter of grace and calls us “enough” in Christ.   The God of the Bible—who empowered Abraham, Moses, Esther, and others—is still calling and equipping us today. Walk with Heather King as she relates humorous and practical stories from the lives of Bible heroes, as well as her own life, to show us that following is about obedience, relationship, and just saying “Yes!” to God. I am too excited for this book! Grab yo
