Cover Reveal | Daughter of Rome by Tessa Afshar

Blessed Morning Gems!!!

Today I received an exciting email from one of my favorite biblical fiction authors and inside the email was the cover for her upcoming 2020 release and boy was I excited. A few weeks ago, she shared her title reveal for her first Bible study which was awesome (more info to come on this).
I own all seven of her currently published books and have read six of them so far. I've given five of them a 5 star rating and one a 4 star rating. I'm holding off on the last book because I don't want to finish her books and then have to wait patiently for the release of this book.

Check out my reviews of her other books:
Okay now let's get into this beautiful cover...
I am loving the softness of this cover! You'll get a better view below, but this cover has a much more simplistic approach to it than her other covers. I'm loving the pose from the model with her outfit and hair color. The floral in the background with the water and sky-view just screams beauty. This is the perfect cover for this story. I cannot wait to get into this book when it releases!!

Here is some info all about the book and it's release date! Don't forget to head over to Goodreads and add it to your TBR shelf!

Title: Daughter of Rome

Author: Tessa Afshar

Age: Adult

Genres: Biblical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Historical Fiction

Expected Publication Date: February 4, 2020

Publisher: Tyndale House Publishing

Pre-Order: Paperback | Hardcover | Kindle

Synopsis:
A woman with a devastating secret. A man bent on proving his worth. A chance encounter that catapults them into the heart of history.
When the daughter of a prominent Roman general meets a disinherited Jewish immigrant, neither one can dream of God's plan to transform them into the most influential couple of the early church. Nor can they anticipate the mountains that will threaten to bury them. Their courtship unwittingly shadowed by murder and betrayal, Priscilla and Aquila slowly work to build a community of believers, while their lives grow increasingly complicated thanks to a shaggy dog, a mysterious runaway, and a ruthless foe desperate for love. But when they're banished from their home by a capricious emperor, they must join forces with an unusual rabbi named Paul and fight to turn treachery into redemption.
With impeccable research and vivid detail, Daughter of Rome is both an emotive love story and an immersive journey through first-century Rome and Corinth, reminding readers once again why Debbie Macomber has said that "no one brings the Bible to life like Tessa Afshar."

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene
