Title
: An Unexpected Revival
Author: Erica Wiggenhorn
Age: Adult
Genres: Bible Study
Publication Date: June 7, 2022
Publisher: Mood Publishers
Source: Paperback
Synopsis:
Do you long to feel a closer connection to God? To discern His voice, experience His peace, and live in His joy?

In this 8-week Bible study, An Unexpected Revival: Experiencing God's Goodness through Disappointment and Doubt, you will encounter a unique picture of revival through Ezekiel's prophecies. God chose to spark revival through people who seemed counted out, cast aside, and disregarded.

Ezekiel reveals that we are not the first people to believe our doubts and doubt our beliefs when circumstances spiral out of control. But God pursues us with His goodness desiring to bring revival to our broken hearts.

Through a study of the book of Ezekiel, God offers an invitation to:
— experience His faithfulness when surrounded by uncertainty
— reignite our hope instead of losing heart
— realize the call of God, reawakening us to our purpose
— rest in contentment rather than dwell in disappointment

An Unexpected Revival sparks a fire in our longing heart to feel renewed excitement in our relationship with God. Instead of going through the motions, checking the boxes and wondering why God feels so far away, Ezekiel teaches us to come close and invite God to fill us with fresh fire. God offers His joy, peace, and purpose to any who seek it. Do you long for revival?

This 8-week study will also include video teaching through Vimeo.
My Rating:

Just as amazing as the other Bible studies that she created. This one did not disappointment as it goes through experiencing God's goodness through disappointment and doubt. She takes you through the book of Ezekiel while weaving in New Testament scriptures from the letters and the gospels.

She takes her time to explain Ezekiel while giving you room to look up scripture and understand it for yourself. The questions are self-reflective which makes it more personal to answer.

It's done in a devotional style which I love because it makes it easier for you to take your time studying through each chapter of Ezekiel without being overwhelmed.

I appreciated the pacing offered with this study and how easy it is to do solo or in a group format.

I am a huge fan of Erica Wiggenhorn's studies and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
