Synopsis:
A Fun-Filled Way to Draw Near to God
As believers, we have God as our Father, and fathers love the sound of their children's laughter. So why not try something a little different for your daily devotions?
If you want to lighten your mood while drawing near to God, or if you know someone who could use a laugh and a spiritual pick-me-up, this is just what you've been looking for. It's quick, easy, enjoyable--and thought-provoking too! Every day features the humorous cartoon artwork of
Dennis Fletcher plus a short, powerful message that will uplift hearts and position minds to look for God in the day ahead.
3-Minute Devotions to Laugh and Reflect is built on the ministry of Jesus, whose teachings were often brief, created great word pictures, and were sometimes punctuated with humor. This is a fun, low-key approach to daily devotions that promises to stay with you and encourage your faith.
My Rating:
Looking for a fun way to dive into the word on your own or with your family? Need a moment of laughter? This devotional will do it for you. A bit of dry humor that still makes you giggle as you read the Word of God. I enjoyed the few entries I read and think it's great for a chill day of doing devotions when you want to switch up your routine.

Blessings,

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...
