Habakkuk by Dannah Gresh {Bible Study Review}

Hey Gems!!!

We all know that I love studying the Bible and that I also enjoy a great Bible study workbook or guided study. I was excited for this release because I was able to go through this author's first study as well. I had high hopes going into this study.

My Rating:
Dannah Gresh has become a favorite for me after reading and doing the study for Lies Young Women Believe. I love the way she breaks down scripture and relates it to her life. I have never read through or studied Habakkuk in it's entirety so I was excited when I found out this study was thing.

This study include podcasts instead of videos which was different for me, but fun at the same time. I enjoyed the questions, the bit of journaling that was shown and the study as a whole. This studied has helped me also fully understand the prophet himself.

This is a practical study that makes you think about scrpiture and how to apply it. I would recommend this to someone who is looking to learn more from Habakkuk. Whether in a group study or as a devotional study this is a great one to add to your collection.

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene
