Waiting on Wednesday | Like Flames in the Night by Connilyn Cossette

Morning Gems!!!

It's Wednesday which means it's time for another WoW -- Waiting on Wednesday post! I do these post as often as I find new books that will be released and interest me. Check out my other WoW post to see other books I was interested in being released.
Today's WoW is one that I am extremely excited about! It's about the fourth and final book to the Cities of Refuge series written by Connilyn Cossette. I have read all the other books in the series already: A Light on the HillShelter of the Most High and Until the Mountains Fall.

I gush about the first two books so much and I enjoyed the third book a ton. Let's check out the fourth book!

Title: Like Flames in the Night

Author: Connilyn Cossette

Series: Cities of Refuge #4

Age: Adult

Genres: Biblical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Historical Fiction

Expected Publication DateMarch 3, 2020

Synopsis:
Strong-willed Tirzah wants to join her people in driving the enemy from the land of Israel and undergoes training for a secret mission inside the stronghold of Shechem. But soon after she has infiltrated the ruthless Aramean commander's kitchen, she makes a reckless decision that puts her and her allies in grave danger.
Fresh off the battlefield, Liyam returns home to discover his beloved daughter is dead. After his vow to hunt down her killer leads to months of fruitless pursuit, his last hope is in a family connection that comes with strings attached. Strings that force him to pose as a mercenary and rescue an infuriating woman who refuses to leave her mission uncompleted.
When an opportunity to pave a path to a Hebrew victory arises, can Tirzah convince Liyam to fight alongside her in the refuge city of her birth? Or will Liyam's thirst for vengeance outweigh his duty to his people, his God, and the woman he's come to love?
Why Am I Anticipating This Book?
I am in love with the series. Connni has crafted a phenomenal world surrounding the time after the fall of Jericho and the death of Joshua right before the Judges were put in place. I am excited for this book because it takes place 8 years after Until the Mountains Fall and it's on the last child of Moriyah and Darek. After the events in Until the Mountains Fall, I'm excited to see how things go for Moriyah and her family.

To see all the kids with their significant others and children while Moriyah and Darek remain lovey dovey is going to be awesome. I don't have any expectations or guesses for the end. I just want a happy ending for all the characters.

I've heard that characters from her first series, Out from Egypt, makes an appearance or are in some way connected to the male love interest so I'm going to be reading the first series in preparation for this release. Especially since Moriyah's character and Cities of Refuge comes from Conni's third book, Wings of the Wind, in the first series.

I'm just excited to get my hands on this beauty!!
If you haven't started this series PLEASE do so! You won't regret it and the lessons you will learn will stick with you and make you want to dive head first into your Bible.

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

Good morning loves! I'm starting a new layout when it comes to doing my Bible reviews just because they need a more in-depth post than my book reviews. I created a new way that will help me share more info about each Bible so I hope this helps you all! Today's review is on the The Study Bible for Women in the CSB translation and I am so excited to do this review. DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
