Waiting on Wednesday | Cry of the Raven by Morgan L. Bussue

Hey Gems!!!
Hey Gems! I am back for another WoW (waiting on Wednesday) posts. For those who missed my two previous ones I'll just tell you a bit about what Waiting on Wednesday is about.
Waiting on Wednesday was originally created by Jill from Breaking the Spine back in 2008. It's basically a weekly post in which you spotlight a soon-to-be-released book (or books) that you're anticipating.
I used to do this type of posts back in 2013 quiet often on my book blog, but never once on this blog, so I decided to add it to one of my weekly post ideas!

Now that we have that done, let's dive into the book I am patiently and excitedly waiting to be released...

Last week Morgan sent out the cover reveal in her newsletter and I was so excited and happy about it! The cover for book three is my FAVORITE by far!

Title: Cry of the Raven

Author: Morgan L. Busse

Series: The Ravenwood Saga #3

Age: Adult

Genres: Christian Fantasy

Expected Publication Date: February 4, 2020

Publisher: Bethany House Publishers

Pre-Order: Paperback

Synopsis:
Lady Selene Ravenwood has come into her full power as a dreamwalker just as the war with the Dominia Empire begins. Working with the other Great Houses, Selene and Damien use their gifts to secure the borders and save those devastated by the war. But conflict, betrayal, and hatred begin to spread between the Great Houses, destroying their unity as the empire burns a path across their lands. At the same time, Damien Maris starts to lose his ability to raise the waters, leaving the lands vulnerable to the empire's attacks.
The only one who can unite the houses and restore her husband's power is Selene Ravenwood. But it will require that she open her heart to those who have hurt her and let go of her past, despite the one who hunts her and will do anything to stop her power.
Will Selene survive? Or is she destined to fall like the dreamwalkers before her?
Why Am I Anticipating This Book?
I am in love with the series. It's a fantasy novel which I am a major fan of and it has faith aspects to it. I love that it talks about God without being pushy with scripture. I love how the weave magic into it.

Book two ended on such an interesting point that I am so ready to see how Grand Lady Selene carries herself in book three. Now that she has come into her powers a bit, I'm interested in seeing the fight against the Dark Lady and how the Light will help her.

I'm also excited for the marriage between Selene and Damien! I just love how they grew to love one another despite the obstacles.

I just need MORE!! Lady Ragna is in somewhat of a pitiful state. I need to know more about Ophie and Caiaphas as well.

I just want to know what happens next with the houses and this brewing war.

I am TOO excited for this release next year!!

If you have not, definitely read Mark of the Raven and Flight of the Raven. You WON'T regret it!
If you want to start the series, grab the first book while it's on sale for $1.99 on Kindle!!

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

Good morning loves! I'm starting a new layout when it comes to doing my Bible reviews just because they need a more in-depth post than my book reviews. I created a new way that will help me share more info about each Bible so I hope this helps you all! Today's review is on the The Study Bible for Women in the CSB translation and I am so excited to do this review. I want to first thank B&H Publishing group for the opportunity to review this gorgeous Bible as they sent me this Bible for review. This Bible was release on April 15, 2018, so it's been out for almost a month now. I'm going to start off by sharing with you all what it says on the B&H website: Now available in the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation with revised and updated content and a fresh, new interior design, the CSB Study Bible for Women will equip you to reach deep into God’s Word. As the most comprehensive study Bible ever prepared for women and by women, the most powerful asp...

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
