Help your young children learn to live for God!
Stop-and-Go Devotional provides short, active devotions based on Bible stories, designed for busy families with preschoolers and primary-grade children. Written by bestselling author Diane Stortz, this to-the-point, interactive devotional gives bite-size teachings on how to follow God.
Each short devotion consists of an action-filled Bible story (Stop and Read), an age-appropriate devotional thought with questions and a brief prayer (Think and Talk), and an easy and fun follow-up activity, a thought to remember, and a supporting Bible verse (Green Means Go!).
This book provides a way to have intentional quality time with your kids; it's fun, educational, and meaningful for your family's faith journey together.
My Rating:
Looking for a fun, inspirational and quick family devotional? This is it! This family devotional is meant to be done on a weekly basis. It goes through 52 "key" stories in the Bible from the Old and New Testaments by using the game "Red Light, Green Light." The use of turning the game into something interactive with biblical elements will get children active in learning the Bible and build a bond within the family and relationship with God.

Doing one devotional a week makes it easy to "set" a day for the family and help everyone get focused on God. I love how the devotional makes use of the colors red, yellow and green. I love how the "break down" the scriptures for children to enjoy.

Red light is "stop and read". This is where the summarize the focal scripture. Yellow light is "think and talk" in which they give you something to think about and questions to discuss. They end it with a prayer. Green light is "green means go" which gives you a verse to remember with something about God and also a fun way to end the devotional in a song or fun activity.

Doing this with my son is super fun and it gets him into wanting to learn more about the Word. Totally recommend this!

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene
