40 Day Prayer Challenge: Day 33 - Praying for Believers

Good Afternoon Gems!!!

Today has been interesting day! My little guy had graduation pictures today and I almost shed a tear. I also had BSF today and we discussed Proverbs -- it was sooooo good!!
Today we are talking about praying for believers. Yes, we need to pray for all believers in the world. Why? Just because we are believers and know God doesn't mean that we don't need prayer for strength, peace, focus and so forth.

Take time and pray for all believers. You can pray:
  • strength
  • spiritual growth
  • peace
  • motivation
  • fire to be reignited
  • to be reawakened
  • continue to labor
Praying for believers allows us to keep the enemy at bay for each of us and it ensures that we all grow continually. It also keeps us unified which God loves.

Sidenote: I know these last two weeks have been mixed with timing and short with posts & emails, but I thank you all for joining in on this challenge and your patience!

Journaling Prompt
Please be as true to yourself as possible when answering the prompt to get the most out of this challenge.
When was the last time you prayed for believers as a whole? Has the thought ever crossed your mind? What are some things you can pray for all believers?
Scripture
Today's scripture comes from Colossians 1:9:
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Prayer Journaling
Spend 3-7 minutes journaling your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Use the prompt.

Verbal Prayer
Take 5 minutes and verbally speak your written prayer. Pray out loud so that He can hear your voice. If your prayer is short, try to add to it. Use the scripture to pray today. Pray for believers around the world today.

Listen
Sit quietly in a position that will not make you tired and wait on God. You may feel His presence, you may hear from Him. If you do, write down what He says or what you're feeling. Give yourself at least 2 minutes of pure silence to be able to hear from and feel God. This is a conversation, not a rant. Allow Him the opportunity to speak to you after you've spoken to Him.

Let's pray...

Heavenly Father, today we come interceding for all believers. We pray that You may give all believers the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they would continue to know You better. That they would receive insight so that they will continue comprehend who You are. We pray right now for each believer on the earth, that they would be so bold as to share the gospel among the lost so that they can found. We pray that each believer continues to grow in their faith and deepens their intimacy with You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene
