Good morning Gems!!!
Back to my usual 5am post and emails! Today we are going to continue on with the different types of prayers that we are to do. Again, this post is not an extensive dive on each of the types. It's more of an intro in which I give you some general information and a scripture to read and maybe study for further understanding. I encourage you all to go and study these prayers for yourself!
4. Praise & Worship: "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." - Hebrews 13:15
These are prayers in which you praise God for who He is. You come and worship Him with your words in prayer.
5. Faith: "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." - Matthew 21:22
This type of prayer brings to mind the book of James and the prophet Elijah. This type of prayer is believing God’s Word, taking hold of His covenant commitment to it, and asking Him to keep it. Praying in faith. Yes, all our prayers should be made in faith, but there are those prayers that we need to have "moving mountain" faith.
6. Agreement: "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." - Matthew 18:19-20
This type of prayer is when you get together with other believers to pray and agree on something be it healing, a new believer, a job, good grades and etc. It's the type of prayers we do in church, prayer meetings or when you are praying with someone you know. These are the prayers that are useful when you combine it with spiritual warfare and intercession prayers!
Hope these helped!
Journaling Prompt
Please be as true to yourself as possible when answering the prompt to get the most out of this challenge.
Today's scripture comes from John 4:23:
Spend 3-7 minutes journaling your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Us the journaling prompt.
Verbal Prayer
Take 3 minutes and verbally speak your written prayer. Pray out loud so that He can hear your voice. If your prayer is short, try to add to it. Pray in faith today and and give Him praise.
Listen
Sit quietly in a position that will not make you tired and wait on God. You may feel His presence, you may hear from Him. If you do, write down what He says or what you're feeling. Give yourself at least 2 minutes of pure silence to be able to hear from and feel God. This is a conversation, not a rant. Allow Him the opportunity to speak to you after you've spoken to Him.
Let's end in prayer...

Heavenly Father, we give You all honor, glory and praise. We praise You with all that we are and all that we have. We pray today for healing for those who are need. We come in agreement, believing that You can heal the lives of those hurt physically, mentally or emotionally. Father, You alone are Alpha and Omega with all power. We believe You and know that You are faithful to Your children. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
