Thomas Nelson has a crafted an impactful study Bible which features many resources and notes from Dr. Wiersbe, bestselling author of the BE Series. There is a lifetime of powerful Bible teachings in this Bible. Hundreds of Catalyst notes which dive deep into biblical themes, thousands of verse-by-verse study notes using his comprehensive system of study and cross references. This Bible helps to make the most of your time reading, studying, and reflecting on Scripture.

Having been a fan of his BE series, I knew I wanted to get my hands on this Bible to use in conjunction with his commentary series and I'm glad I did. The Bible is beautiful from front to back.

Each book begins with an outline of the chapters, book overview that contains the basic information in a few paragraphs and then with a section called "Be Transformed" which has a few paragraphs specifically pointing to the life-changing impact of that book.

After that you get your standard 2 column scripture text with bold, black font, study notes and cross references. On some pages there will be a section called Catalyst Notes and those reveal important biblical themes and character issues to motivate transformation by the Holy Spirit through the Word. I find that they are very impactful to my walk and growth.

What I love is the extensive concordance that is given in the back of the Bible. It's pretty hefty one which I think is phenomenal as most Bibles don't include a good sized concordance. The concordance is about 261 pages long. After the concordance is provided there is a preaching outlines index which goes book by book for those who preach and even teach the Word of God. I think that is an awesome resource. Great for helping to create a sermon or breakdown chapters in the Bible for Sunday school.

The Bible ends with a few blank pages and 8 colored maps. As far as the maps go, they are nice, but not super vibrant like I personally enjoy. The blank pages are awesome for quick note-taking or even pen testing.

Overall, this is a pretty good Bible. As a woman, I personally would have enjoyed some colorful maps with vibrant colors and maybe some other types of articles and more charts. This is definitely a Bible that can be geared more so to men, so great as a gift for a man in anyone's life.

I am enjoying my Bible and will use it for study, writing sermons and much more.

Blessings,
