Waiting on Wednesday | Flight of the Raven by Morgan L. Busse

Hey Gems!!!

Yesterday was the release of Morgan L. Busse's latest Christian fantasy novel called Mark of the Raven which is book one in her Ravenwood Saga. I totally LOVED every inch of the book. It is a fantasy with magical elements, but what I loved most were the characters and how layered they were and also the references to scripture and living godly. I am so in love with this series that I decided to do a post called...
Waiting on Wednesday was originally created by Jill from Breaking the Spine back in 2008. It's basically a weekly post in which you spotlight a soon-to-be-released book (or books) that you're anticipating. I used to do this type of posts back in 2013 quiet often on my book blog, but never once on this blog, so I decided to add it to one of my weekly post ideas!

I don't see me doing this post weekly, but there are a ton of books that are coming out in the Christian book realm that I am looking forward to!

This first post is spotlighting a phenomenal Christian fantasy novel that can be for young adults or even adults...

Synopsis:
Selene Ravenwood, once the heir to House Ravenwood, is now an exile. On the run and free of her family’s destiny, Selene hopes to find the real reason her family was given the gift of dreamwalking. But first she must adapt to her new life as wife to Lord Damien Maris, the man she was originally assigned to kill.
While adjusting to her marriage and her home in the north, her power over dreams begins to grow. As the strongest dreamwalker to exist in ages, her expanding power attracts not only nightmares but the attention of the Dark Lady herself.
With a war looming on the horizon and a wicked being after her gift, Selene is faced with a choice: embrace the Dark Lady’s offer, or search out the one who gave her the gift of dreamwalking. One path offers power, the other offers freedom. But time is running out, and soon her choice will be made for her.
Why Am I Anticipating This Book?
I need to know what happens next for Selene after that crazy ending! I need to know if she and Damien happen to fall for one another. I need to know what the Dark Lady has in store for her. I need to know how Caiaphas is doing back at the Ravenwood house. I need to know if Amara or Lady Ragna comes to their senses.

Seriously, I am raving about the Mark of the Raven, so I am waiting patiently and impatiently for this sequel!

What's a book that you're waiting to be released?

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene
