Synopsis:
This encouraging story shows how life changes when we learn to value those who are differently abled and to champion the power of thoughtfulness.
Author Dorena Williamson explores the need to be "thoughtFULL"—full of thoughtfulness and awareness, particularly with those who have special needs. In this delightful story, it's awards day at school, and Ahanu (a boy with Down Syndrome) earns the award for being thoughtful. Later, when his friend Joshua sees others making fun of Ahanu, it's Joshua's turn to be thoughtful by supporting his differently abled friend. While doing so, Joshua learns important lessons about friendship, disabilities, and the value we each have as God's children.
Also available in this series: ColorFull: Celebrating the Colors God Gave Us
My Rating:
I am truly a fan of Dorena Williamson. She writes such beautiful children's story which teaches children ways to implement some of God's will into their lives. This teaches kids to be kind and build friendships with disabilities. It shows that even though they may be different, they are loved by God just as everyone is. It teaches children to stand up for those they call friends and even though he may need help. The beauty in this book is seen on each turn of the page. I also adore the artwork. My son, who is 4 and in kindergarten, he enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book to parents looking for biblical books to inspire their toddlers and children.

Go grab a copy!

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
