My Rating:
This Bible is absolutely stunning! I took about 2 hours to browse through the Bible and soak in all it's resources inside. This Bible is edited by Jack W. Hayford who is someone I've never heard so I did some research on him and found that he is a Pentecostal minister and Chancellor Emeritus of The King's University. He is also the former pastor of The Church on the Way in San Fernando Valley, CA. I didn't do too much research into him, but enough to get an understanding of his views.

The Spirit-Filled Life Bible is a stunning one and it's in the NKJV translation, which happens to be my favorite translation to use and study the Word. I got the burgundy leathersoft and it's absolutely beautiful. It's a beautiful burgundy and a dark brown. There cover has a small dove on it that gives it a simple and refined look. The Bible comes in a gift box that's pretty standard and gives helpful information about the Bible and it's features. The Bible comes with two ribbon bookmarks in burgundy and brown to match the Bible cover. Gold gilded edges which are beautiful.

Now lets talk about the inside of this Bible. This Bible is red-letter text which I'm a huge fan of. I just love seeing the Words of Christ in red. This is a study Bible that's packed with some amazing resources. There are the normal resources like study notes, cross references, in-text maps, charts, articles, concordance and full color maps. There are resources such as Kingdom Dynamics, Word Wealth, Praying the Word and Truth in Action.

Kingdom Dynamics consists of thirty-three themes and seven in-depth articles which are considered to be key elements of the life of a growing, devoted disciple in God's kingdom. I enjoyed glancing through these sections which are put into nine groups. Some of the topics are:
  • Holy Spirit fullness
  • The power of unity among believers
  • Winning the spiritual war
  • Ministry of divine healing
  • Divine principles of money management
  • Lifestyle stewardship
Word Wealth has more than 650 important terms that are key words to help us better understand the Word of God. They give the original Hebrew or Greek definition along with helpful insight into the derivation and the Strong's numerical listing. In short it gives the English term treated, original transliteration and the scripture reference where the Word Wealth definition is located. Any Word Wealth word will be written in bold font within the scripture for easy access.

Praying the Word are simply prayers adapted from specific verses or passages. These are great to use as prayer prompts or to just quickly pray a scripture over your life. Such an amazing aspect as many people find it hard to pray -- even myself at times, so this is always a plus. I wish more Bibles included this feature in them.

The final resource I want to talk about is the Truth in Action chart. This is a chart that gives practical ways to apply the truths of the Bible. It summarizes the foundations and teachings of each book and then gives ways to act upon and apply that truth. Throughout each book there will be numbers listed to help make it easier to find that truth and action at the end of each book. I think this is another phenomenal feature within this Bible as it gives ways to live out the truths.

Overall, this is a phenomenal Bible from first glance and a few hours of use. I absolutely love this resources in this Bible and can't wait to study with it. Highly recommend this beauty.

Go grab a copy!

Blessings,

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
