Synopsis:
Why am I here? What is God's call in my life? How do I fit God's call with my own individuality? How should God's calling affect my career, my plans for the future, and my concepts of success?
First published in 1997 by distinguished author and speaker Os Guiness, The Call remains a treasured source of wisdom for those who ask these questions. According to Guinness, "No idea short of God's call can ground and fulfill the truest human desire for purpose and fulfillment."

In this newly updated and expanded anniversary edition, Guinness explores the truth that God has a specific calling for each one of us and guides a new generation of readers through the journey of hearing and heeding that call.

With more than 100,000 copies in print, The Call is for all who desire a purposeful, intentional life of faith.
My Rating:
This is really a 4.5 heart rating for me. Os Guinness is a new author for me and what attracted me the most was honestly the pretty cover of the book. This is the 20th anniversary edition and I just love the cover. The Call is the kind of book that you need to take in a new chapter every 2-3 days so that you have time to absorb and dive into your Bible. It's all about answering the question of "what is my life calling?" We all have found ourselves asking that question a lot because life can become overwhelming or we can simply lose sight of our purpose. I enjoyed this book.

This book has a total of 30 powerful chapters that will captivate your mind, convict you and help you grow deeper in your faith by pushing you toward God and His Word. I love the study guide in the back of this book because while the book is already a though provoking one, the study guide just makes it more deep and gives one time for some serious intentional reading.

This is the type of book that you need to purchase a blank journal for because you'll be marking up your book and writing all your thoughts down from each page. This is not a light read. This is one that can alter your life for the better. Highly recommend!
