Grab your coffee, find your favorite chair, and begin your day with guidance from A. W. Tozer.
Many of these 365 devotional readings come from sermons Tozer preached close to his death in 1963, marking them with a deep concern for spiritual intimacy and true worship. He urges you to pursue God, confess sin, pray fervently, and seek the Spirit. Let this book be a garnish in your feast of God's Word.
As you welcome the morning light and all the sights and sounds of the new day, let Mornings with Tozer awaken your heart.
Have I mentioned before how much I'm a fan of a devotional?! Devotionals are great ways to get some intimate time with Jesus and God in when you can't spend hours studying the Word. This baby was one that I was excited to get my hands on as A. W. Tozer is one that I'm new to. I have the bible which includes different snippets from his books and commentary, so getting a devotional from him would be perfect to use with it.
This is a yearly, dated devotional is set up and each month has its own "cover page" of sort. Each devotional is on one page and begins with the date on top followed by the topic or title of that devotional. Then, you get the focal scripture and short devotional from one of A.W. Tozer's sermons -- these are his personal thoughts on the scripture. The devotionals are very powerful and mind-blowing. They lead me to some really deep thinking in regards to myself in relation with intimacy with Christ and God. The final piece to the daily devotional is a short prayer that I, personally, use a prayer prompt.
This is definitely a devotional I would highly recommend to someone looking for a great inspirational devotional. You can read as it's meant to be or just start from page one not paying attention to dates. The choice is yours, but I recommend it all the way!
