Synopsis:
What can God do with fifty days?
In only fifty days Peter was radically transformed. He went from being a man in the shadows denying even knowing Jesus, to a man boldly proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus in the middle of the temple courts. How did the change occur? And more importantly, can such a change occur within us—today, in the here and now?
For fifty days, I invite you to dwell in the first twelve chapters of Acts. Here we meet Peter face-to-face and encounter the source of his power. We become challenged to grab hold of that power ourselves, believing that God wants to do something in and through us that is unexplainable apart from Him. Let’s give God fifty days and see what He might do.
The purpose of this study isn’t simply to reiterate a message. (You can find many studies on Acts.) Our purpose is to reignite a movement of the power of the Holy Spirit in each of us individually and in our churches collectively. Are you ready?
My Rating:
Have you ever studied the book of Acts? If not, then An Unexplainable Life is a great new 10 week Bible study that examines the chapters 1-12 of Acts verse by verse. If you have studied Acts, then this Bible study is still an awesome one to have to restudy or test your understanding of it. I have never studied the book of Acts personally, but through my various studies, devotionals and reading books I've come across the books of Acts. I was very excited to get this book so that it could help me truly dive into the book of Acts.

This study focuses on living in the power of God as an individual and as a church. It's broken down into 5 days a week in which there is a set reading and then questions to answer following that reading. There are, of course, other scriptures to read from with more questions to further grasp the big picture of the scriptures and even a section to write out a prayer at the end of day 5.

It's full of biblical, theological and historical insight. It has the perfect balance of reading material vs. questions/journal entries. Erica does a phenomenal job making this a study that's great for all levels of Bible study. Whether you're a beginner or mature in studying your Word, this books sheds light on Acts. I think this is perfect as a personal study, but being that it's a study on Acts and it focuses on the Holy Spirit and the church, this would be great as a group study for sure.
