Why Daughter of Increase?

Hello Gems!

I first want to take the opportunity to say thank you for reading my new blog. I am proud to finally launch this blog to provide Godly inspiration, motivation and encouragement to females of all ages and races. I felt, for the longest time, a pull to use my passion for writing and my YouTube platform to help advance the kingdom of God by sharing my walk with Christ and growth with God with the world.
To start off I decided to go with the name Daughter of Increase for this blog because it just clicked with me. My first inductive bible study that I did was on the Gospel of John and it blew my mind how much gold I found within each chapter. It's probably one of my top 5 favorite books in the bible.

What pulled at my heart strings the most when I read all 21 chapters of John was John 3:30:
He must increase, but I MUST decrease.
That verse really gave me an "wow" moment and made truly start to examine myself on a daily basis. I had to make sure that I decreased of myself every day in all aspects of my life such as my desires, wants, achievements and etc so that God could truly dwell within me and increase me in the right areas so that I can align my desires, heart, mind and wants with His.

I think we all, women and men, need to learn to die of ourselves daily and decrease in personal gains, especially those that do not align with what God has planned for us. In order to walk in His purpose for our lives and in order to be truly Christ-like (a mirror image of Him) we need God to increase us spiritually and allow Him to be our guide, comforter, shield, friend and father every single day.

A daughter of increase is an heir of the One True King. She is one that lets God truly take control of her life so that she can walk in the purpose and calling He has for her. She chooses to allow God to increase her in the best ways by decreasing of herself and seeking His face and Word daily.

Remember, He is above ALL and He is the source of ALL things.

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

Good morning loves! I'm starting a new layout when it comes to doing my Bible reviews just because they need a more in-depth post than my book reviews. I created a new way that will help me share more info about each Bible so I hope this helps you all! Today's review is on the The Study Bible for Women in the CSB translation and I am so excited to do this review. I want to first thank B&H Publishing group for the opportunity to review this gorgeous Bible as they sent me this Bible for review. This Bible was release on April 15, 2018, so it's been out for almost a month now. I'm going to start off by sharing with you all what it says on the B&H website: Now available in the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation with revised and updated content and a fresh, new interior design, the CSB Study Bible for Women will equip you to reach deep into God’s Word. As the most comprehensive study Bible ever prepared for women and by women, the most powerful asp...

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...
