Happy Hump Day Gems!
It's the middle of the week which means it's time to really reflect on how the week has gone so far and how we would like it to go for the rest of the week. Wednesday Word is in full effect and this is the second one. Ever since I wrote the first Wednesday Word last week, I've been asking God what this week's should be about and He immediately showed me many different ideas and topics to talk about. However, even with the boat load of ideas He gave me it's been hard to really pick one that would be perfect for this week. It wasn't until I started typing this post out that I settled on a focus for today...
Yes, today's focus is all about not judging others. I don't know about you, but even though I've been a Christian all my life I still fail at that. Sometimes I find myself judging other people and it's not something I do purposely, but it seems to be a habit that happens every now and then. Nowadays, I catch myself before judging others and immediately stop myself, but because my flesh is weak and I'm not always spiritually in-tuned 100% I find that I slip up.
We, as believers should know that we are not to judge others. It's written in the Bible, many times over, on how we should not judge others because we too have sinned or wronged. Here are three scriptures that really make me stop dead in my tracks:
We must realize that no matter how "holy" you believe yourself to be we were all born in sin because of the mistake Adam and Eve made in the garden of Eden.
Personally, for me this week I have caught myself judging one person and had to ask God for forgiveness in that. Have you found yourself being judgmental this week towards coworkers, your boss, significant other, relative or a stranger?
Take this day to really think about how you've judge someone and how you can try and not judge others the rest of this week. Whether it's reciting scripture or being spiritually aware of yourself, this week try to not judge another.
Let's close out with a prayer...

"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." - John 8:7 KJVThis is something Jesus told the scribes and pharisees when they tried to get Him to condemn an adulterous woman. He told them to throw a stone at her if they themselves haven't sinned and they couldn't because they indeed have sinned.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 KJVNo one has any right to judge another person for a mistake or sin because one time or another we have all made that same mistake or have dealt with that sin.
We must realize that no matter how "holy" you believe yourself to be we were all born in sin because of the mistake Adam and Eve made in the garden of Eden.
"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me." - Psalm 51:5 NKJVThere are over 30+ verses all about not judging one another. The overall point is that judging is clearly wrong and not of a loving heart.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today bearing our hearts and minds. Help us to understand that judging one another is not our responsibility, but Yours. James 4:12 says "there is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you to judge another?" We lay down our self-imposed ideas of judging the hearts, motives, intentions and actions of others today. We humbly submit our thoughts to You for approval, choosing loving and compassionate thoughts over those that are condemning and critical. God we ask for forgiveness and mercy if we have judged someone wrongfully. We give You all the honor and glory Father. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
