Current Christian Playlist

Hello Gems,

Today is a music kind of day! I wanted to share some of my favorite Christian songs from the month of August. This will be a monthly post that I'll do the beginning of each month (the first Friday of every month) for the previous month. These are songs that I seem to play nonstop and truly feel my spirit jump for. Songs that I desire to dance to. Songs that I listen to during my quiet time with God.
I'll be sharing 5 songs with you in this post so you can enjoy them just as much as I do.

1) Put It On the Alter by Jessica Reedy
This song always gets me going in the morning. This really reminds me to give all my problems to God. Not to worry or stress about anything. When I hear this song it IMMEDIATELY makes me feel 10x better than I was feeling before hearing it. Truly love this!

2) Jesus by Le'Andria Johnson
This song reminds me of who my savior is. Every time I hear this my spirit begins to tremble (in a good way). This song is one I definitely go to when I'm in my quiet time and need to really pour my heart out to Him.

3) I'll Be the One by Bri
This is a song I'm determined to dance to. It's in my spirit to dance to this song in church. Briana Babineaux is a phenomenal singer. She is a true worshiper and any time I hear her music my mind and spirit immediately go into worship mode. I play this song about 4 times a day (seriously I do).

4) This Alter by Psalmist Raine
This is a song I heard about a month ago when my sister from church danced to it and my heart seriously cried out to God. The words spoke to me in every way possible. I absolutely love listening to this before doing my devotional readings. It really sets the atmosphere for me.

5) The Call by Isabel Davis (live version)
This is another song I never heard of until another sister of mine from church danced to it. This is absolutely beautiful. I love everything about this song. Another great one to listen to during your devotional or quiet time with God. Really speaks to your soul.

**Bonus: Intentional by Travis Greene
I had to add a bonus song and this is definitely the one! This gets me going because it reminds me that no matter what I go through, deal with or what things may seem like...it all has a purpose for me because God never makes a mistake and never fails me.

All six of these songs are amazing ones to listen to. I play these several times throughout the day and just vibe out to them in the spirit. Amazing music and definitely recommend you to add them to your playlist. You won't regret it!

What's your current Christian playlist?
Have you heard any of these songs before?

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene

CSB Study Bible for Women {Bible Review}

Good morning loves! I'm starting a new layout when it comes to doing my Bible reviews just because they need a more in-depth post than my book reviews. I created a new way that will help me share more info about each Bible so I hope this helps you all! Today's review is on the The Study Bible for Women in the CSB translation and I am so excited to do this review. I want to first thank B&H Publishing group for the opportunity to review this gorgeous Bible as they sent me this Bible for review. This Bible was release on April 15, 2018, so it's been out for almost a month now. I'm going to start off by sharing with you all what it says on the B&H website: Now available in the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation with revised and updated content and a fresh, new interior design, the CSB Study Bible for Women will equip you to reach deep into God’s Word.
