Gospel of John Summer Bible Study

Hello Gems! Exciting news to share with you all! I am coming on today to share with you all the next Bible study that I will be leading and I am so excited about it. This will be the 3rd Bible study that I've led for Daughter of Increase and it makes me so happy and excited for what God is doing through me for many women ( young and mature and men included ) out in the world. I wanted to pick a book of the Bible that would be fruitful to everyone no matter the stage of Bible studying or where they are in their walk with God. The Gospel of John just stuck out to me as the one. I personally, ADORE the gospel of John. It reveals so much about who Christ is to us and it's useful to the maturing of our faith. The first two studies I led where focused on women -- Ruth and Esther -- but as I continue to grow in God I want to continue edifying others in the best way I can ( with the guidance of the Holy Spirit of course ). Those studies were great! We had a live session every We...

How I Study in my Journaling Bible {Walkthrough}

Morning Gems! Today I'll be sharing an in-depth walk-through of how I study in my journaling Bible. From how I take my notes, to the different markings and highlights. I decided to do this going through the book of Job on camera since it's a book I never studied and didn't really know much about. Bible journaling is fairly simple you don't need many things to begin all you really need are a pen and a Bible. I like to use a journaling Bible because it has wide margins, one column and enough space to write what I need to. I also think of the Bible as a journal so I just write down my thoughts and questions while still doing some research on locations, names, defining words and etc. Check out the video below to see how I study in my journaling Bible: If you're interested in of the items I used I'll link them below for your buying: Journaling Bible:  http://amzn.to/2FpfW94 Thompson Chain Reference Bible:  http://amzn.to/2CYxvyd Nelson's Cyclopedic ...

Study Round-Up

Hey Gems! It's a new month, so it's time for some new studies! September wasn't the best month in all honesty because I slacked off with a lot of my readings. October was going to be a month of newness, but instead I'll be carrying over studies from September into October. Each month I find myself going through various different things and studies. From studying actual books of the Bible to reading a Christian non-fiction to doing online bible studies. This month is no different. If you want you can check out the video I've also listed everything down below for you to read if you'd prefer or even want to sign up for any of them. Books of the Bible The Gospel of Luke

For Bible study? Yes, there are some essentials that I believe are key to having an effective Bible study. These essentials can also help to make studying your Bible more interesting, interactive and fun ( at least for us girls ). Eight Bible Study Essentials 1) A study Bible is essential to your Bible study. Get a study Bible in a translation you understand with good, factual commentary. It can be a regular study Bible or a study Bible specifically geared towards women. 2) A secondary Bible is great to have in a different translation to help you further understand what you are reading. 3) Pens and pencils to write, underline, star, circle or box...

How To Study The Bible

Hey Gems, Today I want to answer a question that I know MANY people ask. From new Christians to mature Christians. We've all asked the same question at least once or maybe even twice in our life time. It's a question that leaves many people afraid  to crack open the Bible and read it. It's a question that leaves many trying to figure out how to effectively  go about it. It's even been a question that leaves us doubtful  at times in our walk. " How Do I Study The Bible? Where Do I Begin? " Yes, if you think about it, some of us still, to this day, ask that question. Some feel embarrassed to ask this question, but I think this question is one that ANY and EVERYONE should ask themselves. Why? Once you truly start to ask yourself this question it means that you don't want to read the Bible as if it's a storybook. No. This means that you truly want to dive deep  into the Word, understand  it, be able to apply  it to your life and be able to share ...
