Two Year Anniversary!

Blessed Afternoon Gems!!! I honestly don't even know where to begin with this post. I'm a bit emotional as I sit down to even type up this post. I feel like crying tears of joy because God has blessed me, graced me, purposed me and equipped me for this ministry. On this day two years ago, I stepped out on faith with obedience to God and launched this ministry. It started with the Instagram account, then the blog, YouTube channel Facebook page , Facebook group and then the Twitter account. With fear and doubt lurking in my mind, I stepped out on the water like Peter and began this journey and it has been an unbelievable life-changing journey . By following through the vision God gave me, I watered it daily . I found that even DOI has helped many it has helped me grow immensely and prepared me to walk in to the call. As I sit and reflect on these two years and all that it has brought me, I can only say thank You to God for His trust in me. He has brought me out

Waiting on Wednesday | Daughter of Rome by Tessa Afshar

Morning Gems!!! It's Wednesday so it's time for Waiting on Wednesday post and I'm excited about this upcoming book. I am a MAJOR fan of Mrs. Tessa Afshar. No seriously, I adore ALL of her books. They've all left an impact on me. When I heard she was coming out with a new book I was super stoked for it. Now if you haven't seen the cover reveal of this book you can either check out that post or just continue to scroll on down 🤷🏾‍♀️. If you thought I was joking about my love for Tessa's writing then just let me fill you in. She has seven books published. Of those I've read six and of those six I've given five of them a rating of 5⭐ and one a rating of 4⭐. My favorite book she has written hands down is Pearl in the Sand with Bread of Angels close up. The funniest book she has written to me is Harvest of Rubies duology ( Harvest of Rubies & Harvest of Gold ). I enjoyed In the Field of Grace . The one I gave 4⭐ is Thief of Corinth . I&

Wings of the Wind by Connilyn Cossette {Book Review}

Hey Gems!!! Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week of work and that your weekend will be splendid! Today, I have yet another book review ( book nerd problems ). If you haven't already read my review of Counted with the Stars or Shadow of the Storm go do that first before reading this post! I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on the third and final book in the Out from Egypt trilogy. I would even consider this a sort of prequel to the Cities of Refuge series. This is by far my FAVORITE of the trilogy. I loved Alanah, I adore Shira and Kiya. Rahab made an appearance. My girl Moriyah was included which makes me basis. Let's talk about this cover though! I love the softness of the colors used and how the models outfit blends into the clouds and it ends with that hint periwinkle...GORGEOUS cover.
