Synopsis:

Who knows how to combine 20 minutes of reading practice and devotional time? A mighty reader! With the Mighty Reader Workbooks, your child can stay on top of his or her reading game while reading amazing stories from the Bible.
Author and current second-grade teacher Heidi Cooley knows how important daily reading is for a child’s learning development. But parents are often lost as to how to help their children practice reading and writing skills. The First Grade Mighty Reader Workbook offers a unique solution to this problem, combining biblical and educational learning. First graders will read stories from the Bible and then answer questions and complete tasks in the same way they would in their classroom. All questions are aligned with state standards, so parents can feel confident that their child’s practice is appropriate for the first-grade level.
Each lesson . . .
  • Offers 20 minutes of reading and skills practice
  • Aligns with state standards
  • Strengthens comprehension
  • Increases fluency
  • Boosts decoding skills
  • Encourages critical thinking
  • Improves sentence writing
  • Teaches biblical values
The First Grade Mighty Reader Workbook is a reading win for both parents and children!
My Rating:
Looking for a way to help your child with their reading and writing, but want to also get them into the Word on a daily basis? This is a great resource to have! The Mighty Reader Workbook for first graders is fantastic! I have a kindergartner and he enjoys writing every now and then. I'm using this book to help him get prepared for first grade. This workbook is a biblical based one that helps your child with writing, vocabulary, comprehension and more. All it takes is 20 minutes a day to get this done with your child. It's fun, simple and keeps them in the Word. Highly recommend it! Plan to use mine as an after school "homework" session for my son.

Go grab a copy!

Blessings,

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...

Today's review is on the The Study Bible for Women in the CSB translation and I am so excited to do this review. I want to first thank B&H Publishing group for the opportunity to review this gorgeous Bible as they sent me this Bible for review.
