Synopsis:
God is calling to your heart from every page of His Word. Can you hear His voice? Or does it sometimes feel like you've read it all before, and the words enter your mind but fail to permeate your soul?
Get ready to experience Scripture in an entirely new way through these 366 devotions. Open your heart to God's truth in a way that is clear, personal, and relevant to your life. Let these devotions bridge the gap between the eternal, unchanging words written in the Bible and your heart's desire to connect with the One who cares most deeply for you.
My Rating:
God's Call to a Deeper Life is a leap year (366 day) devotional that focuses mainly on Psalms with some days in other books of the Bibles such as the Gospels, Epistles, some of the prophets and Revelations. This book is designed to help the reader hear the voice of God by reading His Word. It's focus is on listening to His voice by being in the Bible daily. This is an application styled devotional in which there are questions to answers or a thought to ponder on at the end.

I am a devotional fanatic! I love a good devotional in the morning and one for night. I think devotionals are a great way to help you pray and keep you focused before starting a Bible study. I just love how this devotional really prompts me to use my prayer journal to write my thoughts down after reading it. I am blown away by how beautiful this book is. It's full on pink and white stripes on the cover and back with rose gold detailing. It has floral detailing all throughout the book which just screams cute and girly.

I highly recommend this devotional! It comes with a pretty presentation page so this would be a great gift for a college student, a mom or your favorite woman in the world. This would pair lovely with a cute journal as well to take notes, journal and/or write prayers in. Glad I got this devotional. It's definitely a keeper.

Go grab a copy!

DOI Book Club - Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Good morning Gems! Today, I'll be sharing with you all one of the exciting things I'll be starting in March and it's a book club! I polled on Facebook and Instagram and had you all vote and the winner was a no-brainer! This is the first Book Club that I’ll be hosting ever and I am so excited. Fervent by Priscilla Shirer won hands down! We’re jumping into the topic of prayer and I’m a big person on reading and learning all that I can about prayer. I don’t know about you all, but my prayer life has its ups and downs. Now for those of you who don’t know, Priscilla Shirer is the actress from the movie War Room ( which I HIGHLY recommend ). She wrote a book for woman based off of the movie. Here’s bit of what to expect from this phenomenal book: “You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t gene...

VOTW | Isaiah 41:10 - Ever Present Help

Good morning Gems (& Gents)! This past weekend has been insane in both a good and scary way. I experienced something frightening, but in that situation I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I'd never would have experienced before if my relationship with God wasn't where it is now. As I was thinking of a verse for this week, I came across this one from the book of Isaiah and I knew this was it: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Such a small, yet powerful verse. This is a command and a promise from our Father whether we are in times of despair or in seasons of gladness. Though told this to the people of Israel, this verse is still true to His children today. Let's start off by breaking down some of the words in this verse shall we: Fear : the Hebrew word is  yare' meaning to cause to frighten ( affright ); to make or be afraid;...
